Hygiene Obsession

I have to share my favorite bathroom item. The Plackers Mint Flosser. The only place I've found them where I normally shop is QFC. After running out, I stocked up on 5 bonus packs of 110 flossers each. Well over a year's supply. Why so great, you ask? They're so easy to use, I actually floss every day - not just a lie I tell my dentist. They have a light mint flavor, no sharp poky edges, and best of all, the floss is held in there so well that you only need to use one for an entire mouth. Not to be said for others I've tried. Possibly not the most sustainable option, but I'll make my other sacrifices elsewhere. Def recommend. Seriously.

Gus' Transformation: Phase 1

We finally brought in professional help for Gus. We called the Animal Behavior Clinic and would so far recommend it to anyone with a dog having a serious issue. Not cheap, but we now have a better understanding of Gus' behavior. First phase to a solution is to work on training around the front door issue, and begin to prepare him for the baby. Apparently they sell recordings of crying babies! Here's to hoping for a much improved Gus-Gus, soon.

Racing to 32

Mitchell and Jacob celebrated Mitchell's 31st Birthday last weekend in Vegas (while the girls were at home baby shopping). They drove 42 laps in a NASCAR Race Car at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway with the Drive Petty School. Top speed: 146. I wasn't really concerned with "danger" until he asked if I was going to be the one who told his mom. But, they both came back safely and I think they would definitely recommend the experience.

Raised Beds Are IN

I've probably been asking for a year, but Mitchell finally arranged for Matt to build us some pretty raised beds. One behind the house for veggies and one on the side as a decorative planter. Bonus: the dogs won't be able to reach to pee on the plants, so they might actually have a chance for survival. Now, the pressure of what to plant? Any suggestions? Vegetable garden, first! My strawberry plants and blueberry bush need some company.

Creepy in 4-D

4- D shots of Little Wright! Not quite as vivid as we were imaging, and definitely a touch creepy, but still pretty cool. Much more realistic than the standard ultrasound. He was hanging out with both his hands and his legs in front of his face. It was a little difficult to get him to pose! :)

Fat cheeks!

Baby Shopping

Kerry, Mom and I survived a weekend of baby shopping. Not sure if it was a blessing or a curse, but the weather was also amazingly gorgeous the entire weekend. Ordered most of the nursery furniture and started a registry. babiesrus.com registry #47027336 (always a work in progress). Feels like a triumphant step forward. Thank you, Mom and Kerry for helping with a major push. Although, still so much to be done! Coming up this week - Gus' behavior specialist consultation and 4-D ultrasound!
