The Time Traveller's Wife

Finished The Time Traveler's Wife last weekend. It was good - both funny and a tear jerker. I liked that it wasn't completely chronological, so I didn't need to figure out what happened the chapter before when I picked it up after a few days of not reading it. I recommend the book and can't wait to see the movie now. That, sadly enough, has been the biggest motivator for me to read books recently - finishing before the book is ruined by movie previews - and then getting to enjoy the movie afterwards (ahem, Twilight). I think I might see the movie solo, which is one of those goals in my life, along with skydiving, which I will be checking off in a week!

Temporary state of craziness

Evidence as of noon today that the cold festering in my head has moved into my brain:

Drove for an indeterminable amount of time down MLK with my left turn signal on. Was convenient, however, once I was ready to turn onto Burnside Street.

Stared for a good 10 seconds at my parking voucher, wondering how I was going to adhere it to my passenger side window, before I realized I was in the lot and it is a daily activity to place it on my dash.

Asked Mitchell, who called to tell me he's going home to sleep because of the same cold in its infancy stages, if he was going to leave the dogs at daycare. He said yes, and then he asked why I took them in on a Thursday. Oops, no, they're at home where I left them not 2 hours earlier.

Final straw was the break-down over billing. Which would be a shock if that weren't a monthly stresser.

Oh well, only one more day left in the week.
