We attended the
Oregon Jamboree again this year with the Heintz family and crew. Always a good time with good company. It's 3 days of country music, usually involves "camping" in the RV park, and all of the fair food one can consume. The Heintz clan has been going for awhile and therefore we are privileged to sit in the VIP section and camp in a prime spot. The problem? We and all of the other geriatrics are sitting in the pricier VIP section, so there is a rule that you can only stand in that section when half of the group is standing. So, we get comments about how "polite" we are, or Tim McGraw even sat down during his performance because he was so pissed about the lack of enthusiasm. It's embarrassing. Yet, still totally worth it.
This year we found an awesome new song, which was just a recording played between acts, and for some reason, we just honed in on this gem. It's called
Snake Farm, by
Ray Wylie Hubbard (the perfect name for singing this song) and I dare you to listen and not at least smile.
ANOTHER fun fact, was which song Oliver literally rocked out to in my belly. I had to unbutton my shorts, he was kicking so hard. Just during that one song. He will someday be very embarrassed about this somewhat "butch" song -
Biker Chick, by Jo Dee Messina. We will all be sure to remind him. :)
