Southern Fantasies

I discovered Town and Country Magazine at the hair salon. It's fantasy-level fashion and content with southern charm. Love it. I need to get myself a subscription, if I don't get one for Christmas...

To Wish List or not to Wish List

Well, the time comes again where my family will request a birthday and Christmas wish list, and I will shamelessly oblige. While surprises are the best, it's always nice to truly need/appreciate/want what you get for a gift. So, a few ideas for those who choose to apply the suggestions:
  • A new set of water/drinking glasses for our house. It seems that we really have outgrown the pint glass collection. And I will do anything to get rid of the stupid McDonald's Coke glasses that come free.
  • I'm obsessed with magazine subscriptions. So a new gossip magazine (People), renew my Real Simple or something totally new - Wired, Architectural Digest, Lucky...
  • A nice, blank journal for the cabin would be nice, so we can have a record of those who have visited and shared our new place with us.
  • A new pair of Uggs. Size 10. Both slide in slippers and boots. A fad, I know, but they're so comfortable. Must have thick sole, as that's what's so amazing yet functional about them.
  • I always wanted a metal detector!
  • A subscription to Pandora.com. I hate the ads!
  • New gloves - not skiing, but more going to football games and driving to work.
  • A digital photo frame for my desk at work.

Super Cool

I really need this necklace - this is actually the tattoo I wanted, so maybe I'll try it out on a necklace. Probably with Reggie's nose. Sorry, Gus.

Go Ducks

Got our season tickets yesterday - Club Level, baby. It's going to be a good year! First game, September 4. What do you think, do I need these? I'm impressed, VS.

The Falls

How is it that I haven't made it to Multnomah Falls, just outside of Portland? It possibly happened on a Japanese Exchange student field trip when I was younger, but I do not recall exactly.
Well, Andie and I finally did it this weekend! It was a surprising 3 miles round-trip, and the way out is a steep uphill climb. We were feeling good until we read a sign that identified "2 of 11 Switchbacks." But, we made it to the top and back. And as Andrea commented, we didn't really complain much and neither of us suggested stopping! We both donated a dollar at the end and felt very accomplished. I would recommend not wearing flip flops or taking young children. I honestly don't think people know what they're getting in to! Very pretty, though.
I didn't buy this one - I felt the photo would suffice.
